“ This is a tale of two meals 5 years apart. In 2018 we were walking around a rainy Bristol at around 3 pm finding a lunch place in stokes craft and came across this gem... We loved the thali, and part of the reason might have been our insane hunger... We returned to Bristol on a fmaily trip yesterday and had to go back to this place - again, it did not disappoint! Had am awesome dinner with a 3 course meal (including a thali)... Cannot recommend this place enough - a must visit for quirky but wholesome Indian meal. ”
“ Incredible. Went with a group of 40 friends they handled us so well. No food orders wrong and great quick service. New owners clearly know what their doing. The staff were really funny and friendly amplifying the whole experience. And the menu still slaps. ”
“ Delicious food, not so sweet lassi :) Veri nice staff ”
“ Love this place for its chilled atmosphere, tasty food and interesting selection of drinks. We came here for a quick dinner after climbing the service was good. The food was full of flavour as it always is and we couldn't stop ourselves from over eating. Definitely try the marsala fried chips, they are so good! Don't miss out on a cooler either. ”
“ Been Thali today very nice food very attentive, must visit good atmosphere, service and mouth watering food. Will definitely visit again ”
“ THE BEST INDIAN FOOD I HAVE HAD IN THE UK!!!! I have had Indian food in multiple locations around the UK, but nothing can match the flavour profile and taste of the one I had at Thali. My partner was amazed by their Alphonso mango lassi, words can’t describe how refreshing, light and delicious it was. I ordered Jal Jeera, which was very refreshing too. The food itself had a very authentic taste, it reminded me on my mother’s cooking. Alongside our thalis, we ordered aloo paratha, which was crispy and delicious but the aloo filling itself could have been a bit more flavourful, it was delicious nonetheless. The thali themselves were spot on, amazing flavours and good portion size. We got rotis in addition to the thalis, which were good too!! The ambiance was very retro and old Bollywood, and the song choices were great. I loved the fact that all the dishes were made of stainless steel, I have had water in a steel glass in ages and it just reminded me of home. The staff there were really sweet and polite, including the kitchen staff. ”
“ Can’t get enough of this place! We always try to stop by when we’re in town. Food is good, atmosphere is always really positive, and the staff there was so friendly and accounting, even giving us a jug of sparkling water on request. ”
“ Can't believe how good their food was. Excellent!! Will be coming back. Thanks Jess for serving our table! ”
